Kanye West – My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy:
62.5/13 = 4.81

reasons i did not listen to this album earlier:
1. im not really into hip hop and rap
2. nearly 70 min (too long for me)

reasons i listened to his album in the end:
1. numerous people told me to
2. critical acclaim
3. wanting to hear his fantasies after interrupting taylor swift
4. interesting album cover and title

my response:
i was really wrong. this album is as refreshing as he gets admist all his autotune gimmicks. his rap isn't the salient feature on this album, but instead serves as a compliment to the cleverly crafted tunes. as the album title has promised, it's beautiful, dark, twisted and fantastical. but one he did not mention is inspirational, which can be heard on his raps over the simple yet elegant piano keys. with this album, he's certainly successfully interrupted the attention he gets from interrupting taylor swift. for telling us your fantasy, you're forgiven.

this is definetely no where near the standard of "in rainbows", but it serves well enough as a radiohead album. still captivating in sensuality and serenity. what bothers me is that i almost didnt know radiohead was releasing an album. almost.

this album is just a silly album, singing songs that sound like nursery rhymes. its just as childish as how they look in the album cover. sure it sounds fun, but thats at the start and towards the end of the album. in the middle, it just seems to tire out a little and lack the fun factor.
